Cineteca TV is a personal media player for Apple TV that connects to media servers on your own local network. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you use the app.
Cineteca TV does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. It has no analytics, no advertising, and no user accounts. Everything the app knows about your library and servers stays on your Apple TV.
None of this information ever leaves your Apple TV except to reach the server you configured, over your own local network.
Cineteca TV connects only to the media servers (SMB or SFTP) that you explicitly add. These connections go directly from your Apple TV to your server — Cineteca TV does not route your traffic through any server we operate, because we don't operate any. The app also uses Bonjour to discover SMB shares on your local network; this discovery never leaves your network.
Cineteca TV uses open-source libraries for video playback and secure file transfer (including SFTP support). These libraries run entirely on your device and do not transmit data to their authors or to any third party.
Cineteca TV does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
